I listened to “Moon Graffiti” after watching the two videos from RadioLab’s Jad Abumrad.
Then, I blogged my thoughts on its use of sound to tell the story, and compared it to Abumrad’s ideas.
I also created a radio bumper for ds106 radio! This was my first audio editing assignment. Then, I made a short story using just sounds to show someone walking down the beach, wading into the water, and going underwater for a few seconds. Then, I pulled together the worst sounds I could think of to make an auditory hell. Then, I made a scary sound using some spooky sounds I found on the freesound website. Getting set up with Audacity and learning how to use it took a little while, but once I got the hang of it it went a lot smoother.
Successful week in ds106!
